I've kept my Note 5 for 3 1/2 years now. Was holding off for the Pixel 4 XL, but unfortunately my battery has now degraded to a point that there's no way to get through the whole day without having to recharge. So I decided to pull the trigger on an upgrade.

I decided to go with the 3 XL, but will miss the S-Pen support of the Note line. I decided to drop the Note line because I'm just sick and tired of the Samsung infrastructure. However I'd like to have a decent stylus/pen. Even if it's stored separately from the device, and even if it doesn't offer all the features of the S-Pen.

My question though, is there a decent Active Stylus/Pen that works well? From my research, I already get that there's no Pressure Sensitivity Support in any of the available Active Pen/Stylus products with Android. However, even the active pens that are available, I read a lot that there are many Lag issues with Active Pens with android.

Is the lag actually true? I've been eyeballing the Boxwave Accupoint Active Stylus (more affordable so don't mind the price if Android doesn't support Pressure Sensitiviy). But the reviews are mixed. Some swear by it, others say they experience a lot of lag or hiccups with it.

So I'd like to know if anybody has had decent success with an Active Pen/Stylus with the Pixel 3/3xl. I want a fine point pend that doesn't require a disc/pad at the end of the stylus.

Same here, I started buying Notes because of the pens. (Fat-fingeritis.) But the Pixel? Here it's March 5th, and mine is already running the March patch. Samsung? Coming ... sometime.

So, I was in a dollar store - and saw a pack of 3 styli for $5. With retractable pens on the other ends. You can bet I bought them. An active pen has a much finer tip, of course, but $20 for a en that has to be recharged (meaning that the battery, and therefore the pen, has to be tossed after a couple of years)? No thanks.

Besides, the ones I bought are about as thick as a baby's finger, which is really all I need - a thinner finger. I just wish I could figure a way to keep it attached to the phone. (And no, not a Surface pen adhesive loop.)
