Still rocking my P2XL, but growing disenchanted with the screen in daylight compared to my Note 9. I have one of the early P2XLs. I was not bothered by the color shift, but the inability to see the screen in daylight is a pain. Has the screen quality improved in the 3XL and can I expect/hope that the P4 at least equals my Note 9.

Yeah it's one of th best oled displayed. It was manufactured by Samsung.

Screen quality between 2 XL and 3 XL is not even close. After all the heat Google got from 2 XL display they have made sure they use a quality panel with 3 XL and it's definitely one of the better ones. Pixel 4 shouldn't be any difference.

I agree

If you compare it to your Note 9 you'll be sorely disappointed. I like the screen on my 3xl but side by side with my Mate 20 Pro there's no contest. The Mate 20 Pro is much brighter, much more colourful and vivid and makes me want for much more. The Mate 20 Pro is a good screen but the Note 9 is even better yet so....
I think they'll make a big improvement with the Pixel 4 (hopefully)

Well the pixel 3 still isn't as bright in direct sunlight as the galaxy or note series , BUT it is usable in direct sunlight . And it's much better than the 2 .

Now of course the colors don't pop like they do on the note 9 or the s9 -s10 , but overall it's a nice screen .

Well I only have a few months left on this Verizon/Pixel contract. The easy answer is to use the Note, but I like some of my P2XL features to point I hate to give it up.
