Pixel 3 reboots when rotated

[Android Central Question]

New Pixel 3 here. My phone started rebooting out of nowhere when turned counter-clockwise. It reboots at any given time : when browsing, playing a game, charging and even when booting. I tried in safe mode and it does it too. I know it might be the accelerometer but can it be software based?

Have you tried using it in safe mode? If it doesn't reboot in safe mode it could be an app. Otherwise you may need warranty support.

Yes I did but Safe Mode is not working and it occurs while in it.

To me sounds like you might have to try factory reset

Since it's new, you can call Google and request a new replacement. (I think I got my new replacement P2 about 2 months after buying it. Just ask nicely if they can. Never take your frustrations out on customer service - that will guarantee bad service.)

Tried to restore to factory settings last night. Looked promising but I turned it and it shut of. Looks hardware based...
@Rukbat : Can I do that even if I got my phone off my provider?
