Any workaround on sending pictures via text?

I have reduced the camera resolution to 2.8 megapixels and still the standard text message app on my 3a will not send any pictures over 1Mb.

Can't find a setting to allow me to increase the 1Mb limit to a higher number, so every picture I need to send I have to resize it via another app, save them then send.

Is there a way to reduce the image resolution only while being sent via text message or is there another text app I can use that would not stop it at 1Mb?

Weird that that is happening. Does it happen both when you try to attach the photo while in the Messages app, and if you start in the Photos app first (tapping the Share button)?

Just to be clear -- you're using the Google Messages app, and not some other 3rd party SMS app, correct?

Make sure MMS is enabled?
