Just updated to 10 and when my volume is set to max it's cracking. Never had this issue until the update today. So it's not hardware related. Just wanted to see if anyone else is experiencing this as well.

I just tried it listening to something on Google Play Music, and at maximum volume I found some cracking as well. Certainly not noticed previously.

At least it seems like a software problem and not hardware related. Now I just have to remember not to crank the volume all the way up.

I'm just wondering what is the easiest way to report this to Google?

I contacted Google support, and they had me reboot in safe mode. I checked volume there, and all seemed to work fine. I then rebooted into normal mode, and the volume issue seems to be resolved. Easy fix.

To reboot in safe mode, hold the power button and hold the power off button until it asks you if you want to reboot in safe mode. Just restart it again to get back in normal mode. Hope this works for you as well!

Yes it does. I have a landline, so my pixel gets turned off, charged up, then unplugged for the night. I've been doing that to all my phones for years, and never had a phone glitch or battery die. I've also found out that one restart after an os upgrade, or even a security patch, isn't enough. You need at least 2, preferably 3 restarts to completely install things. Watch on the boot screen after your second restart, you'll still see the updating progress bar underneath the G. I've also found that bugs that show up after the first restart are gone by the second or third ;-) :-D
