Has your battery life taken a hit since upgrading to Android 11?

My Pixel 3XL's battery lasts about a day and a half using Android 11.

Pixel 4: possibly better battery life, but not that noticeable. Essentially no change.

Also make sure in settings of gboard it's not sending diagnostic stuff back to google it helps improve gboard but can eat battery also sync to google servers.

GBoard is still acting weird for me. Under settings, apps, GBoard Battery I have Background Restriction set to "Restricted", Battery optimization set to "Optimizing battery use". Yet it says since full charge it's been active in the background for 10hr, 29 minutes. I've tried Force stopping it, clearing cache, and rebooting. I've also sent an email to the app developer, detailing my issue.
Anything else I can/should do?

Try clearing Data then force stop it

Ok try that with force close, makes the app restart again.

My battery life seems about the same. Perhaps a little worse, but not much if so.

Can someone help me out and look in Settings, Apps, GBoard, Battery and see if GBoard always uses battery in the background? On both my 4xl and my older Lenovo tab running Android 8 it drains in the background constantly. Force stop and restricting seems to have no effect.

If it doesn't show up in battery stats , it's not using battery , this my stats

Thanks Mustang. That's exactly what I was looking for. Same here...GBoard doesn't show up in Settings, Battery as being a significant drain yet the app says it's constantly using battery in the background. That doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me but it is what it is.

Yeah it will show up.high there under app info because we always use the keyboard so if not in battery usage Stat, usually means nothing to worry about .
