How to close all open apps

I'm using 3 button not gestures with Nova and I don't see clear all to the left. I don't think I've ever been interested in clearing all before now though, what's the purpose?

I agree Mustang. It works as it should on my Pixel 3. Both are running A10 and both have the Nov. security patch. The only thing I set up different on the P4 XL was to force the 90Hz refresh rate. If no one else is having this issue it must be something peculiar to my phone.

On my pixel 3a only 2 button and button show the clear all full gestures is grey out using Nova

I'm on 10 with a Pixel 2, using the latest Nova update, on 2 button nav, and I definitely have "Clear all" at the left end of recent apps. I just switched to 3 button nav to check and yep, it disappears. So clear all is only available in Nova in 2 button nav. (Which I prefer anyway - finally, one thing people don't like that I do.)

Clear all just shuts all of your open apps that are in memory

But why would I want to do that, what's the benefit?

Memory management unless you do a lot of app switching where you have the need to go back and forth. Frees up some memory if that is a concern
