Pixel 4/Note10

With black Friday around the corner I'm trying to figure out which phone would be the best value. I'm currently using my pixel 3 and was thinking to upgrade to the 4 but with so many reviews saying it wasn't worth the price I started looking at the unlocked Note 10. Now that the pixels price is dropping do you think it now makes it a better option over the Note 10?

Only you can answer since no one else knows what you prefer. Some prefer latest platform android updates as soon as available, pixel software and camera. Some others prefer Samsung software and features, specs etc. Based on what you prefer you can choose which you like, since everyone will have a different take on what is the best value. Someone can say both of these are not great value, OnePlus is a better value, someone else will say some other phone as best value

Not sure what Samsung is offering now. I got $600 for Pixel 3 and $150 worth of free accessories towards Note 10. Now that was a deal that I could not refuse

Honestly I don't really worry much about updates I'm all for the best bang for my buck and stability. Something that will hold value so when the time comes to upgrade again I have a nice penny to put towards the next.

I loved the pixel because the camera was so good but now it seems like most phones have caught up so the camera doesn't hold much weight anymore.

That was a great deal! They are offering $450 now for the pixel 3.

Same here. Now with Note 10+. Sweet monster.

Well, Google sucks big time for trade in value from year to year. Just look at what they are giving for a mint pixel 3 towards a pixel 4. It's a JOKE.

Samsung on the other hand is very generous with trade in value. Note 9 trade in or even pixel 3 trade in have you a whopping $600.

So Samsung wins there.

As for camera, If you Don't have kids they are moving around constantly when taking pics, you will be extremely happy with the Note 10+.

I was hoping the trade in would go up for black Friday. With my student discount I can get the Note 10 for $494 including tax. Whichever is cheaper I'm willing to get.

I already have the pixel 4 XL, but also getting the Note 10 again during black Friday sale. I have $150 Microsoft store coupon in addition to $200 off black Friday sale and $600 trade in for pixel 3 XL. I'll pick up an used pixel 3 XL locally for around $400 and will trade that in.

If you have trade in then Note 10 will be much cheaper and since you say you don't care about updates etc, then Note 10 is a better option for you. But again you got see what's best for you.

They had that in Microsoft store before the black Friday sale began, will have to check if it's still applicable.

Looks like the trade in deal is valid at Microsoft store till 12/2. I found a unlocked pixel 3 xl for $400 locally so will be trading that in. Buy for $400 and trade in for $600

Looks like Microsoft store also has changed the trade in value for the pixel 3 xl.

Picked the smaller Note 10 Auro glow just now at my local Microsoft store. Didn’t do trade in. Had $150 gift card with them so after tax it was $674.

Now waiting for pixel Black Friday sale to return my 4 xl back to Amazon and get it on sale

I've had my S9 for 20 months and am tired of Samsung so I ordered a 128gb White Pixel 4 XL today from Best Buy. $300 off plus $150 trade in.

I've had my pixel 4 xl since launch and absolutely love it. I haven't had any issues that the media has described. My battery averages 5.5-7 hours of screen on time depending what in doing. Lasts me all day. So for me the phone is perfect. I mean don't get me wrong yes there are phones with larger batteries and yes it would of been nice to have a 2 day battery, but this phone is a 1 day phone and I knew that from the start and for me it works.

Coming from the pixel 3 XL which had worse battery than this at least for me it's a nice upgrade..

The Note 10 seems to be the better device IMO. For me it's been the best device to date for me plus it's super fast.
