I just upgraded from Pixel XL to Pixel 4 and looking for a new car mount.
I used to use the iOttie One Touch Mini, but found it wouldn't always click closed... My GUESS is related to the TPU case (Spigen Liquid Crystal) where it wasn't effectively applying force against the little button?
I moved to a Koomus magnetic mount, and absolutely loved it... so easy to put in/remove the phone or switch to landscape if desired.
Now with the Pixel 4...
- CD slot preferred, but flexible
- Would be NICE to have magnetic, but I'd go with a reliable clasp/grip/holder
- Would be NICE to be wireless charging. Much more seamless experience
I've heard mixed results about wireless charging car mounts. I see iOttie has a new One Touch Wireless 2 as if it was designed for the Pixel... but I can't seem to get it anywhere in Canada and on Amazon.com there are negative reviews... for a device designed specifically for the phone
Anyone had any success with a car mount for their Pixel 4?

I'm also trying to get my hands on an iOttie Wireless 2 to try out.
The reason for my reply is to let you know that with magnetic mounts if you buy a case with a metal plate or put a metal plate between your phone and case that it will affect wireless charging. Just something to keep in mind.

Yeah but it seems all the wireless magnetic mounts let you put the magnets outside the charging coil area?
It might still be a bit finnicky... but yeah who knows
Bought one of these for about $10 on Amazon after using magnetic ones for years. No charging, but works just as well as the magnetic mounts. If you don't care about wireless charging, I highly recommend: https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/...?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Ram X Grip. Maybe someone's mentioned this before. Thinking back, I've had this one in my vehicle(s) for the past thirty months which makes it the longevity champ out of all of the car mounts I've owned since 2009 or so.
I use the iOttie Wireless 2 for my Pixel 4XL and it is great. I wanted to use the vent mount, but is difficult to position in my car, so i tried the cd-slot mount and it is superb. It is solid so it isn't shaking all over the place while i drive, holds the phone well, charges the phone well (with bellroy leather case) and havent had any issues with placement to make it charge properly. Very happy with the product after looking at POWR mounts initially and seeing mostly bad reviews.
Round magnet vent mount with the vent grabber removed. Stuck it directly to a great spot on my dash panel with heavy duty mounting tape. It can 'see' GPS signals and I can view phone well. Who wants to block an air vent and / or break one with a phone mount? Phone's metal plate is mounted on the case. I remove the case for wireless charging. $5.00 U.S. at 'Five Below' stores.
