How is the performance a year on? Still recommended? Any concerns to highlight?

Thinking of getting my mom a Pixel 4a in the next couple of weeks, so would greatly appreciate some input.

Still 2-3 more days until delivery (hopefully no delays).

I will put it through a heavy couple of days of use to see how it does before handing it over to my mom. Seems promising, at least on paper.

Cool , should be decent device

First impressions after a few hours of use, I am thoroughly impressed.

Now I understand the OnePlus hype a bit. Some very handy features on here (app lock, app clone) and Warp Charge is a beast.

Suddenly my aging Google Pixel 3 seems a tad bit sluggish... Lol

Software wise and overall feel of the OS, I still prefer Google "stock" Android.

Had Google not done anything different with the upcoming Pixel 6, I would definitely consider trying OnePlus next.

Anyway, will stop posting about OnePlus on this Pixel 4a thread. Just wanted to give an update.

Of course it's worth it a year later. Still one of the only somewhat compact (below 145mm height) well supported good overall phones out there.

Any phone not worth it a year later...probably wasn't worth it even at launch.

Been using a used one I got from Amazon in early June. Stands up well to an IPhone 12 MINI I got to replace my Key2LE. At least for my use case.
