I'm anxiously awaiting the final release of Android 12. I'm debating whether or not to do a factory reset after the update. What's the consensus?
Thanks!
Thanks!
I've never done that and have had no issue. I wouldn't unless there were issues after the update. But again it can't hurt to do it anyway.
Downloading the final release now on my 4a5g.
How long was the install time? It's a big file at 1.82 GB
I think it took about a half hour or maybe less. Her Pixel 4a was A11. Mine didn't take as long because the file size was smaller, probably because my Pixel 4a was on A12 Beta 5. Basically it will take as long as it takes. Patience grasshopper. How long was the install time? It's a big file at 1.82 GB

To those who received Android 12 on their 4a, how's the performance and battery life compared to 11?

Could be the OS needing to settle in. The new update doesn't show battery life/screen-on time since last charge, but only since 24 hours ago which is idiotic.I see no difference in performance or battery life. It seems to be handling it just fine.

I'm hoping the next monthly update improves endurance a bit.
My 4a battery life has been fine on the A12 official release.I’ve been on the beta for a while.
I still enjoy how my 4a performs. Might update when 6a comes out but we’ll see.
Agree. That's why I'm not spending money on a new device yet.My 4a battery life has been fine on the A12 official release.
