Just found my Nexus 6p and thought I'd compare it to my new P5... Wow!

Yeah not a good basis for comparison. Phones used to have such big bezels. Now phones with 6.5 inch screens are more "one hand" friendly due to the smaller bezels.

Don't have the 5, but I loved my 6P back in the day. Really solid phone for me. I might have to break mine back out now and see how it feels in 2020.

Love it. This was the phone that got me into Huawei, they did an amazing job.

I gave it to mt brother and lasted a few more years. He traded it in for Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra.

Me too, then went on to get the 2xl then the Huawei P20 pro, Mate 20 pro then the P40 pro... Just couldn't get by without Google services on the P40 even with all the work rounds so I'm back in a Pixel

Yep. I used Huawei exclusively for the past few years too. Loved all the phones I had of theirs. I'm so tempted by the Mate 40 series, but the lack of Google services just kills it for me.
