I don't seem to have much luck with screen protectors lasting before they develop air bubbles usually at the top center of the protector. It happened on my Galaxy S20fe and it's now happening on my Pixel 5A.

It's beyond frustrating because the installation goes great and for weeks the tempered glass protector looks fine but then the bubble appears. I cannot for the life of me figure out what causes this to occur. I did not drop my device and the case has clearance all around so it's not interfering.

I tried to use a hair dryer to apply some gentle heat to re-adhere but that doesn't seem to work. I'm tired of doing this and I'm seriously considering NOT using a screen protector anymore.

What do you guys do? Do you practice safe screen protection?!

When it comes to screen protectors I'm all thumbs. My last one was on an iphone 6 plus. Not having a screen protector has been a non issue for me.

I had a screen protector on my 2XL. First time I've ever used a screen protector. None of my other phones had a scratch on their screens after 2 years of use, but I felt I should protect the 2 XL.

I did a great job installing the screen protector but after 6 months or so a small flap was coming loose in the corner. Nothing terribly noticeable, but I knew it was there. My install kit came with four protectors so I put another one on. Same story--about 8 months later it was peeling up ever so slightly in the corner.

My wife and son both got Pixel 2XL's the same time I did and they did not use a screen protector. There is not a scratch or mark on their screens.

I'm not going to use a screen protector on my 5a.

When it comes to applying screen protectors I'm a bit retarded. Can't seem to do it right. So I decided to be naughty and not use protection on my phones. But I am careful about the pocket I choose to put the phone into. A dedicated pocket for phone only.

Yep, same here--dedicated pocket for the phone. I also put the phone in my pocket with the screen facing my thigh. Then, when pulling the phone out of my pocket I place my fingertip in the fingertip sensor and as I pull it out of my pocket the phone is already unlocked. I'm quite accustomed to this method and can't imagine having to convert to the Pixel 6 on-screen fingerprint reader. Please Google, return the fingerprint sensor to the back side of the phone and use the old reliable sensor instead of the embedded one in the screen.

Yes, I was wondering how people with the Pixel 6 pull it out of their pocket and unlock their phones with the frontside optical reader fingerprint sensor. I started a thread in the Pixel 6 forum about it.
