I bought the 45w charger Google was selling a few years ago, will this give me the top charging speeds or is there some special hand-shaking that has to happen to get the fast charging speeds?
In case anyone's interested, the 45 watt Google charger I bought a few years ago charges my 6 Pro just as fast as my new Anker GaN charger...

Right now I am going to use my older Pixel charger but as soon as my Google One credit from buying the 6 Pro posts, I am going to pick up the 30w brick.

The Google fast charger for the 6 line is only $25, I was surprised how cheap it is. I'm not a fan of leaving the charger out of the box, but with the prices I'm okay paying $25 extra for the charger. Pay attention Apple and Samsung

Using my Samsung 25W, it does okay. The Pixel does not charge as quickly as my S21 Ultra. I have turned off adaptive charge.

The Anker 30w Nano unfortunately does not charge the 6Pro quicker than the 18w Nano. Overall... MUCH slower than charging my Samsung phones!

Evidently simply having a 30w PD charge isn't enough. It needs to be PD 3.0 and support PPS. The Anker Nano II 30W charger should be fine.

This is the one that I bought and so far, it's been fine. I was surprised at how small it is. But it never feels too warm.

I have the official Google 30w charger on order, once it arrives I can compare the two to see if one charges faster than the other...

All the Google Play site says is "Coming Soon..." so, I guess it's coming soon?

@nelamvr6, thanks. I have seen that on the website, but I didn't know if it was discussed during the launch announcement.

Same. Though I am curious how the second gen stand will be over the first gen one I have.

I "plan" on keeping my 6 Pro 2 years or more, so want to treat my battery in a way that preserves its health, so will be avoiding the fastest charging options. The original Pixel stand has never caused heat issues and was plenty fast enough. Likewise the 18W wall charge. Unless people are reporting that the fastest options charge while keeping the phone similarly cool, the benefit of that faster charging simply isn't worth losing an additional 10-15% capacity over 2 years.

I tested the Samsung 25W charger and a KeyPower 100W multiport charger with the Pixel 6 Pro. Both support PPS. Neither crossed 20-21W throughout the charging range. It drops to 14-15W around 60%. Down to 12W around 75%. And 7-9W the rest of the way. Will test the official Google 30W brick as soon as I get it.

    https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1617018-REG/

    30w, USB PD 3.0, PPS
    Supports 5V/3A, 9V/3A, 12v/2.5A, 15V/2A, 20V/1.5A, and PPS 4.2V-11V/3A

    Googles charger supports 5V/3A, 9V/3A, 20v/1.5A, and PPS 11v/3A, 21V/1.5A

Only issue with the Xcellon would be if the phone required the 21V/1.5A for its fastest charging rather than the 11V/3A.

Cost me $26.14 including shipping and tax, smaller than the Anker Nano II. Haven't tested it with the phone yet because FedEx.

Don't expect to use it often, but will be great for travel or 'emergency' charges lol

I use my 45W Pixel Slate charger, Pixel Stand, 18W Pixel 4XL charger, and an AUKEY PA-B6S 90W (for charging both 6 Pro and Slate).

I plan to purchase the Google 30W supply when my Google One 10% credit arrives. I might consider the new Pixel Stand and pass my original to a family member who now uses my P4XL.

Anker Nano II 45W Fast Charger Adapter, PPS Supported, GaN II Foldable Compact

It's more expensive than others but it can also charge my laptop and I really like folding plug. I did do some testing with this one and a 65-watt one I have (used on Samsung phone/tablet). As far as I can tell, the Pixel 6 Pro doesn't charge that fast. You see a burst of charging for the first minute or so then it drops down to a slower charge rate. It said it would take 2 hours to charge from 28% using either adapter.

Using the Pixel 6Pro with either Anker 18w or 30w Nano... It says rapid charging, but it's 40% slower than charging Samsungs. It's either, duh... the Google hardware or software. Google could have addressed this in the design. I'm unfortunately living with the slower charging speeds.
