I was looking around for decent cases to order so that they get here before the actual phone does (delivery date estimate has been moved up to 11/2-11/3 for me, woohoo!). But the one I like on Amazon (Spigen Liquid Air) has an estimated delivery date of mid November. I thought about the official Google case, but I wonder how grippy vs slippery that material is. Ultimately, since I have two Moment lenses (telephoto and wide angle), I went ahead and splurged on the Moment case – $50 +$5 shipping . But I’ve had Moment cases for my Pixel 3 XL and 3a XL, so I know they’re really high quality.
Interestingly, the Moment case seems to be slightly narrower than the official Google case (79.84 mm vs 80.7 mm), while being almost the same length (168.68 mm vs 168.1 mm). Not sure about the depth, since Moment weirdly reports it as 2.6 mm on their site, while Google’s case says 13.7 mm. I suspect what Moment means is that it’s an additional 2.6 mm beyond the back of the phone.

IMO the official Google case has a good blend of grip and slippery. Easy in and out of pocket. It doesn't seem to collect lint, either.
