Did I read the preorder email from Google correctly. $750 off any Pixel 7 phone with qualifying trade-in? That is a Samsung like trade-in offer.

No, keeping my P6P for another year. I'm not having any of the issues with it that some have. And although the face unlock and slightly better zoom on the 7 Pro are nice, that's not enough to push me to upgrade.

That's kind of deceptive wording. If you have a 6pro 128gb model, they will give you 480.00.
Just playing around with the trade-in tool and it's crazy to see that they'll give you $430 for an iPhone 11. Those who are trading in an older phone can definitely benefit from the trade promo.Screenshot_20221007_082856.jpg

My biggest curiosity is if the modems are better. If they are, it will certainly compel me to make the move as this is my biggest and really only gripe with my p6p

Popular rumor is that the P7 series are using a new 5300 series Exynos modem, which should logically be an improvment over the 5123 Exynos used in the P6 Pro. To what extent any improvement is offered, we will have to wait and see.

One thing I don't like the way Google does it pre-sales is, they do not give you your 200.00 credit when you order so you can get a watch or case or whatever and have them arrive around the same time. It sends you an email when it's ready to ship to let you know you can then use your credit.

Samsung at least allows you to spend it at the time of ordering your phone. But I guess it's whatever.

I ordered through Verizon and they gave me $700 trade in on my P6Pro 256. Oh, I know those will get on me about buying a "carrier" phone, but they don't bloat up Pixels and they are the same device. And they have to unlock after 60 days.

The caveat is if the modem is still crappy, I'll send it back. I think I have 14 days on Verizon to do so, and don't have to send my P6P back until 30 days (I see they are calculating the 30 days from today when I ordered....seems like it should be when I receive the 7, but that's Corporate America for you).

VZW trade in is flat @ $700? They're gonna give me $700 for my cracked V30 and let me keep the P6P?

Might be time to lose the gUDP and get on a modern unlimited plan...
