I just got the 6 pro two months ago and traded in my 4XL. But the trade-in offers are really tempting!!

Yes I'm upgrading. Haven't decided on the color yet. Wish there were better color choices.

Did I read the preorder email from Google correctly. $750 off any Pixel 7 phone with qualifying trade-in? That is a Samsung like trade-in offer.

That's kind of deceptive wording. If you have a 6pro 128gb model, they will give you 480.00.

Yes, that is quite deceptive. I guess they're saying you can get *up to* $750 in trade-in value?

Trading my P6 128 ($440), $200 Google store credit, net is $308 with tax. Works for me, YMMV.

No, keeping my P6P for another year. I'm not having any of the issues with it that some have. And although the face unlock and slightly better zoom on the 7 Pro are nice, that's not enough to push me to upgrade.

Just playing around with the trade-in tool and it's crazy to see that they'll give you $430 for an iPhone 11. Those who are trading in an older phone can definitely benefit from the trade promo.Upgrading to pixel 7 pro-screenshot_20221007_082856.jpg

My biggest curiosity is if the modems are better. If they are, it will certainly compel me to make the move as this is my biggest and really only gripe with my p6p

Popular rumor is that the P7 series are using a new 5300 series Exynos modem, which should logically be an improvment over the 5123 Exynos used in the P6 Pro. To what extent any improvement is offered, we will have to wait and see.

One thing I don't like the way Google does it pre-sales is, they do not give you your 200.00 credit when you order so you can get a watch or case or whatever and have them arrive around the same time. It sends you an email when it's ready to ship to let you know you can then use your credit.

Samsung at least allows you to spend it at the time of ordering your phone. But I guess it's whatever.

I ordered through Verizon and they gave me $700 trade in on my P6Pro 256. Oh, I know those will get on me about buying a "carrier" phone, but they don't bloat up Pixels and they are the same device. And they have to unlock after 60 days.

The caveat is if the modem is still crappy, I'll send it back. I think I have 14 days on Verizon to do so, and don't have to send my P6P back until 30 days (I see they are calculating the 30 days from today when I ordered....seems like it should be when I receive the 7, but that's Corporate America for you).

What do you mean "bad modem"? I'm new to Pixel and thinking about getting Pro 7.

VZW trade in is flat @ $700? They're gonna give me $700 for my cracked V30 and let me keep the P6P?

Might be time to lose the gUDP and get on a modern unlimited plan...

The pixel 6 pro modem isn't the greatest, it's ok but weaker than other phones

My P6 does not have the best reception. Better than at launch with some updates, but still not the best. I've never lost a call, but there are times I can't data when my work iPhone can. I will be replacing my P6 soon, but I'm waiting to see what people say about the the P7/P7Pro with its newer modem.

The "bad modem" has never been problematic for me, I get as good of coverage as my wife's S20FE. And it is not like it is an area of dense coverage here in northern WI.

I agree. If I had a Pixel 6 device, I would not upgrade to the 7. I'd wait for the 8 or get another device after a time. I love my Pixel 5 but am waiting a while before buying a Pixel 7.

(6 Pro) For me it means when I'm in a bad area and lose data, it'll take a while before it is restored when I'm back in a good area. Whereas my other androids will lose data in the same location, but comes back pretty quickly.

I have the 6 Pro and I have ordered the 7 Pro. Let's see if it's worth the upgrade. The new processor, better screen, and camera improvements persuaded me to upgrade as I was absolutely not planning on upgrading this year.
