I just checked - I'm being told it's a premium-level feature. I thought the Pixel 7 devices were supposed to get the Google One VPN free...

EDIT: apparently it was supposed to come with the December feature drop but some are getting it early. https://9to5google.com/2022/11/29/go...e-vpn-pixel-7/ Hopefully this won't turn into a classic Google "troll-out"...

I just checked on my Samsung Flip 4 and after installing the app. It's asking me for the upgrade for the VPN

I would assume that any device connected to the hotspot on your Pixel would be protected by the VPN. You wouldn't need the app on your tablet or PC that is getting its data from the phone.

I think it's crap that the VPN will only work on the phone instead of it being connected to your account. Unless of course you upgrade to the 2tb.

I would assume that any device connected to the hotspot on your Pixel would be protected by the VPN. You wouldn't need the app on your tablet or PC that is getting its data from the phone.

I use that Adguard on my pixel 7 Pro. Adguard creates a VPN of its own. Would I be able to use this VPN and Adguard at the same time?

That would make sense since you are on subscription but for those of us that want the freebie as part of the Pixel 7 purchase I'm thinking it would be phone driven ..but let's see if anything changes..

I am one of the lucky ones and now have the Google VPN available to me on my Pixel 7 Pro. I have noted the following. If I run it then adguard does not function because adguard has to have its own VPN and conflicts with a Google VPN. Also you will notice the speed tests below. Using the Google VPN seriously degrades the speed on the pixel 7 Pro. Also, you will notice in the second picture that I'm now being served ads on the Google VPN.

I have it but it won't let me sign up without a plan in place first. However, if your speed tests are indicative of what to expect then doesn't look like a good deal anyway. My best speed is around 40MB down on wifi, usually less and I'm on Verizon which sucks even worse. I can't afford to lose any more speed. I'd love to have your worst speed. Lol!!
