Someone please report back if this fixed the audio cut-outs that lots of us had. I returned mine but may re-buy if they work now.

Yes, I'm curious myself if this fixes the audio cut out issue. I didn't experience this issue, but I know that a lot of other users did.

Found the updated app on APK Mirror, installed, and the Bass Boost is there.

https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/google-inc/google-pixel-buds/google-pixel-buds-1-0-327368352-release/

Took a long walk today, and my first phone call was pretty disappointing. Lots of cutouts for the other party. Hope it was just a fluke.

On the positive side, I had no cutouts while listening to my podcast, and the Bass Boost works as advertised.
Thanks for the side loaded APK file! I can't wait to give it a shot soon. I hope it was just a fluke for the cut out as well... I wish you better look in the near future though cuz those can be really annoying.

I received the 550 firmware update but the features are missing for me. I'm using them with a pixel 4 xl. Maybe server side and still being pushed even if I already have the update?..

For the record I don't ever get cut outs on calls not while listening to anything like podcasts/music/youtube etc. I use them on average fit 3-4 hours each day for fitness during my walks, cycling by and weight training. When they first launched I would get cut outs once in a while but since one of their previous updates it was fixed for me.

Back to the original question anyone received the 550 update and not see the new features? See attached screenshots for what I see currently.

I keep my buds in my case trying to update the firmware, but it's not working yet. I'll update you as to what I see when I get it though.

The way I got it up update was keeping the buds in the charging case, keeping the lid opened so the case stayed connected to my phone and then connected the case to a type c charger and boom all of a sudden after a bit I closed the case and notice it was completed.

Yep thanks. That's what I keep on trying to do. Hopefully it happens soon.

See my previous post showing the link from APK Mirror to get the updated app for your phone. It all showed up for me after I downloaded that.

I have a Pixel, too, but still needed this app.
You don't need the app if you have a pixel phone it's native on the bluetooth settings. But if you are referring to need the app in order to see the settings I'll give it a try turn uninstall.

Really on a pixel 4 xl the app is not needed. It's part of the OS. The screenshots of shares md were from the bluetooth settings and Google's site says no need to install the app on pixel devices.
Yeah, dude I know. I side loading the APK file for the pixel buds app regardless but I know exactly what you mean... trying to be patient and keep them in the case charging to let the software update take now Right now I have the case closed.

Oh no no my bad dude. But in order to get the bass boost to work the other user was saying that he sideloaded the APK file in order to get the EQ settings to work though. That's the interesting thing though. Lol.
