Some people don't have good or no cell service in their house but have Wi-Fi and good Internet. Or some people work in buildings that cell signals don't penetrate well.

I'm lucky that I get a good Verizon signal at my home and work... not everybody is that lucky.
I work for a billion dollar a year company that has the worst WiFi ever. Thank God my cell signal is good there and I have unlimited data or I'd be screwed because it's the most unreliable WiFi I've ever used. Some days it works, some it doesn't. Some you are connected with terrible speeds.

For those who already have it connected, can you advise if carrier Aggregation is working on it? Either 2xCA or 3xCA depending on your market.

The phone itself supports it -- Only reason it wouldn't work is if Sprint is actively not letting Pixel phones get it somehow.

Btw, If any store(s) gives anyone trouble activating the device, show them that.

Just wanted to share my experience. I used the full 15 digit MEID from the Pixel and my existing sim from my Nexus 6P.
The website showed a picture of my Pixel XL and proceeded to take me through the prompts.

However, after trying Internet Explorer and Firefox, it kept giving me a message to chat with a specialist to complete activation.

Got a rep via chat in 1-2 minutes and advised I was trying ti activate a phone. Advised her it was the Google Pixel XL and she said, "Cool."

She asked for the MEID and IMEI and told me things looked good on their end. I thanked her and disconnected.

Prior to the chat, I decided to leave my sim in the Nexus 6P, just in case the rep was having computer issues and/or said they were unable to activate a non-Sprint branded device.

After she advised everything was good to go, I put the sim in Pixel and it worked right away.

I also went into: SETTINGS>MORE>CELLULAR NETWORKS>CARRIER SETTINGS and Updated the PRL and the Device Config.
This took an extra minute and may have been unnecessary, but......

Everything is working GREAT!!!!

For clarification, for those of us who have not used a Bring Your Own Device sim, the reason your Nexus sim worked is because it already is a BYOD sim.

Thanks for clarifying. It was late when I posted and I didn't think to mention it. This was the 3rd time I've used my existing BYOD sim to activate a phone.

Moto X Pure<Huawei Nexus 6P<Google Pixel XL

Speeds seem to be comparable to what I had with my Huawei 6p, so the integrity of the sim seems fine and hasn't degraded as far as I can tell.

How did u request the sim the first time? Or knew that it was that one?

Also, is carrier Aggregation working fine on the Pixel?

Someone said they had to buy one, but I've heard sprint will just give you one. I mean, they do want us to use the service....

Has anyone had receiving phone call issues on Sprint whilst using the Pixel XL? I've noticed I will not receive about 75% of phone calls. I've even had someone sit next to me and call me whilst they used a phone that was also on the Sprint network. Their phone would ring whilst my phone did nothing. Even if I turned on the screen it wouldn't show that I was receiving a phone call. Tried multiple steps to correct this. Tried 3 different sim cards, performed a factory reset, deleted cellular data, updated profile and PRL, acquired the factory image from googles website and reflashed it and still to this minute I am having phone call issues. Everything else works great, most of the time. I've noticed, as well, that at times I will have data issues ex. data service consistently cutting out and reconnecting. It is not a local sprint issue as my significant other has sprint hasn't complained once about any of these issues.

When i requested mine, I gave them the Sku and or UPC code: CZ2144LWC / 019962040146

She pulled it up in the system and had one sent to me via UPS Ground.

I don't live in a major metro area, but have been able to get speeds of over 30 MB on Band 41.

Tell me if there is a way to test carrier aggregation and I'll let you know.

That sucks, but it sounds like your doing everything to cover your bases.

I would try a couple things:

Since your significant other also has Sprint and has had zero problems, is it possible you could temporarily activate the Pixel on her line to see if this could be a hardware issue.

Assuming she has zero problems, I would try a new sim card and if that didn't work, I would talk to Sprint tech and see if there could be some sort of computer system issue that may be affecting your line.

They may need to go into their system and update some settings.

You said you've tried 3 different sims. Have any of them been brand new sims?

My last suggestion may not be feasible, since I know you may not have easy access, but do you know anybody that has Verizon, AT&T, or T-Mobile?
Try using the phone with their sim and see if the phone exhibits any of the issues you've experienced, dropped or missed calls, poor data performance etc.

It could be a hardware issue. Good luck.

So the first Sim I was given was from their BYOD sim kit where it has the 3 different size punch outs, the second sim was a used one from my Nexus 6 and the 3rd one was a brand one with the UPC 019962040146. I've contacted Sprint and they told me everything looked good on my account.

Also, I reactivated my Nexus 6 on my account and then reactivated the Pixel about 2 hours later. Whilst the Nexus 6 was activated none of those issues occurred. I contacted Google support where they attempted to blame Sprint (of course) but, after some convincing (advising them I am not new to the phone market and that I feel as though I know what I'm doing), they told me they would send me a replacement device. I'm glad to hear that no one else is having this issue. Hopefully it was just a hardware issue on my end.

Also, when you update your profile in your cellular networks > carrier settings, what does it say? Every time I update mine it says "This device has been activated Press OK to continue." If I remember correctly it should say your profile has been upgraded / updated correct?

Glad they are sending you a replacement device. When I updated my PRL settings, it said "The PRL has been upgraded. Press OK to continue."

When I updated Device Config, it said: "The device has been activated. Press OK to continue."

I don't own the Pixel/Pixel XL but, based on my experience with the N6P last year, I just cannot justify buying and activating this phone on the Sprint network unless you are willing to deal with the possibility of poor call quality and clueless Sprint representatives asking you what a Pixel is.

Sprint made it immensely difficult for me to activate my N6P and it was only after digging on Reddit to find the right SIM card that I was able to convince someone at the store to buy it for me. I'm lucky to live two blocks away from a Sprint store, so I had no problem going in and working with the customer service reps over the course of several weeks to get things up and running. But call quality was never good and the lack of Wi-Fi calling made it a miserable experience. I don't mind paying less for less reliable service (I don't care what Sprint's commercials claim - Sprint call and LTE quality immediately takes a hit within any four walls, which is impossible to avoid in an urban area), but my family and friends on Sprint have had immensely different experiences with the Galaxy S5-S7 and iPhone. Not only does wi-fi calling make a difference, but call quality was noticeably better.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, since all the hype over the Pixel has been deafening. Google really dropped the ball by making this phone a Verizon exclusive. They could have, at the very least, paired up with two carriers. I'm now in the market for a new phone and may switch from Sprint since they're making my life a living hell staying in a grandfathered plan that I've had for a very long time. But if I stay, there is no way I'm going to risk basic features - good call quality, wi-fi calling et al. - that should be standard on all phones just to get the Pixel experience.
