My status for a screen protector on Amazon just changed to "Shipped". Says that I'll be getting it 10/20 to 10/24. It is a Supershieldz Tempered Glass two pack. Never had that brand before, but it was one that I could get fast.

Have you had similar experiences with other manufacturers? Seems I always see floor models before the actual product is released.

I have that for my Moto XPE. They are very nice. I ordered the same for the Pixel XL.

They are expensive but I went through 5 of them on my last phone and their free replacement plan is so worth it to me

Not the case whatsoever. This is a very common thing with product releases. Doesn't matter if it's as smartphone, a toy, a movie or a car. A day/date/time is set and retailers are expected to abide by that.

Yes, Apple, LG, Motorola. Samsung is one of the few that is ok with early demos.
