Confined to one home screen?

With the Pixel launcher is this the case? Google now is to the left and The 24/7 support is to the right, isn't it? Can we add screens like other launchers? I need room for my widgets.

Maybe try to moved the widget to the second screen? Would it create another screen for it?

I'm sure it would.. But that's just adding another layer to the OS, and isn't the whole point of going Google phone to avoid that?

Not the whole point: another major point is rapid/timely updates, which you'd still get even if you used a different launcher.

Launchers don't change anything. They are why Android is so great. Customizability.

Hopefully the new Google pill will work with another Launcher.

I have no doubt that the launcher will work just as it does now - to add a new screen, simply drag an icon off the right edge of the current screen and a new, empty, screen will appear.

It does. This launcher has been available for nexus devices for months.

You have a good point. I will try the stock launcher for awhile. The whole point for going Google phone for me was that I am having to give back my GN7, but it might be time to live dangerously!
