Media bluetooth not working

My media will not play through my car bluetooth. Neither will google voice. I even have everything checked off on bluetooth settings including media. With bluetooth on and connected I hear nothing, not even through the phone. I did not have this issue with my galaxy S6. What do you think the issue may be? Any advice?

And I assume phone calls work fine over Bluetooth, correct? Does it help if, on the car's system, you delete the other phone profiles?

Phone calls work fine. I will try to delete other profiles but so far I can't figure out how to.

Model year as well, so I can do a little digging to find out how to delete a paired device from the car system.

I have a 2015 X5 and everything works fine. Spotify does not work very well with it (or other cars) right now since the last app update, but Google Play Music works fine for me. I also have no trouble with calls or texts. I am not sure what to tell you since I did not have any issues. Maybe try unpairing and re-pairing the phone?
