Hey guys quick question...I know that the new pixels have the doze feature built in to help with battery life . Doze on marshmallow would kick in when the phone was left sitting on a flat surface for some time, correct ? And now nougat will go into doze when it's in your pocket and your walking around right ? I've had my phone off the charger since 430 this morning and looking at the battery stats I'm not seeing any flat level areas in the graph that would indicate doze is kicking in. I'll post a screenshot below. What do you guys think ?!?

I was wondering the same thing. I haven't noticed the relatively flat lines that used to occur when my 6P sat on my desk for extended periods of time...

I find sometimes it kicks in and I see the flat lines and other times it's a slope down. One day I noticed my phone was getting warm and battery was draining quickly so I rebooted, and after that I saw the flat line. Could be a Nougat bug or some app that's causing the phone to stay awake

Compared to others, my phone does not seem to Doze at all. I am losing considerably more battery percentage overnight than what I have seen being posted around the forums. I have no idea what is causing it.

I don't think my phone is going into doze but I managed 18 hours battery last yesterday with 6 hours screen on time!!! So I don't care what's going on as long as I keep seeing numbers like that!!!

Is Doze working? I would say that it is!

I unplugged at midnight; this is what it looked like 4 hours later:

Wow, that's amazing. I loose about 2% an hour with the phone just sitting on a table! Any suggestions??

Do you have the Facebook app or Facebook Messenger installed?

If not, see if you can determine which app(s) are consuming battery during rest.

I just installed them last night. Maybe I'll uninstall and see if that fixes it. I feel like I was still getting battery drain without them

It's all crappy 3rd party apps draining power.. I am sure guys who are seeing great battery are using stock phone and not much apps... Once you install 20-30+ apps any one crappy program can constantly keep draining battery

Actually, I have 160+ apps installed. Mainstream apps, not junk, not games, and definitely not Facebook!

Can you tell from gsam what is causing wakelocks or preventing doze? I am not getting very good battery life and only have maybe 15 apps installed (but Facebook and Facebook messenger are installed)

This is where I'm at after a normal day:

2.5 hours of screen on time and I'm at 27% battery. What I find weird in gsam is how much battery the radio is using

This is pretty much what my 2 year old Note 4 could do. Any ideas on what I should try? My wife's iPhone 7 Plus (I'm as anti-apple as it gets) is still at 67% and she had used he phone much more than I have today. Not a great comparison without more info, I know.

I'm not getting great battery life nether. I'm about to just switch back to the iPhone 7 Plus honestly. This whole, looks for bad apps and having to worry about what to turn off and on is crap. I'm getting pretty sick and tired of Android to be honest.
