Device payment plan. To get the full discount you have to stay for 24 months though. If you leave you won't get the full amount back to discount it down. Basically the same thing all carriers now do. The "new" contract.

So to get out I cannot just pay $360 must pay $800?

But then you pay an extra 20 a month for service right? I do not want to be stuck with any phone for 2 years.

The $400 is given to you over 24 months via bill credits.

So I still have to pay 780 up front? I'm totally confused. Rep just said 15 a month no strings.

Beware of carrier trade-in offers. The trade-in value will be assessed by the carrier, and it's almost always substantially lower than the phone's value if you sold it yourself. Also, watch out for carriers quoting the cost for the phone on a monthly basis, while "forgetting" to quote what you will pay for the line access fee, and/or your data plan. You need all three figures to come up with the total monthly cost, and this will not include the monthly taxes and fees, which they will not be able to quote.

Are you in Canada? Did you get the update? Or are you trying to get the thread back on track?

    Hey guys,

Please don't hammer me for this. As some of you may have known, since I have been posting here, that I have been trying to get the Pixel. Do to the reported LTE issues here in Argentina, I decided not to wait for a fix. I started looking fro an alternate flagship, that was around the same size. I did find a couple that I liked, however, when I researched to see if they would work on MOVISTAR AR, I found that they did not. So I decided to try the iPhone 7. I ordered it yesterday, and it is being delivered today to a friend, who is going to fly it down here. This will be my 3rd iPhone that I have owned, having owned the 4, the 5 and now the 7. Never owned an S. Anyhow, I have owned way more Android phones. I really, really wanted the Pixel, but with the reported problems from several users down here, not having LTE, I just could not make the purchase. Anyhow, I will continue to be on the forums, on and off.
You have to do what's good for you. I traded out for an LG V20 and I'm happier with it than I was with the Pixel XL. I couldn't stay with the connectivity issues and I forgot how boring stock Android is.

I care a great deal. I wish the issue were solved. I don't own a Pixel XL but I would like it to at least be an option. I'm also disturbed that some say signal strength is lower than other phones even when signal is present and not dropping.

Yeah the dropping signal is what's putting me off as well. But if I was forced to stay on stock Android I'd not be using Android at all. Lol. Stock Android keeps me interested for all of ten minutes, if that long maybe, before I'm customizing the hell out of it.

I like stock android. The more stuff you add to it, more chances of issues occurring. Just me personally. If I didn't like stock Android I would probably be using another phone

If you are going with Verizon, I posted the breakdown and stipulations in another posting on the forums. It breaks everything down for Verizon

Ok I just got the Pixel. Took it out all over and signal and lte service was terrific. Call quality was superb as well. I'm with Selectel which uses Verizon's network. I don't have the recent update yet either. So perhaps it has more to do with your location. As my Pixel performed excellently in my tests today.

You are probably one of the lucky ones that are not going to encounter any issues with yours as some of us as you know. My last phone that I retired in favor of a pixel was a 4 yr old Blackberry Z10 which gave me 4 bars of LTE and zero dropped calls on Verizon.

I'd find it pretty hard to comprehend that something with 4 yr old technology is going to perform way better then something with brand new technology and specs and have zero issues staying connected to lite at twice the price I payed for my pixel none the less

No dropped calls on my Pixel on Verizon during first week of use. Have an iPhone 6s work issued on Verizon and dropped calls for about 2 weeks. Were told by our MDMs that the issue was resolved by Verizon. Never had it with my Pixel that I've noticed.
