XDA Developers have already created a mod that serves to give the Pixel stereo speakers.

In this video, I'll be showing you how to turn the earpiece speaker on your Pixel XL into a second media playback speaker for true stereo sound.

You'll need to be rooted to try this out, but I've got a detailed guide at the full tutorial that makes rooting the Pixel XL super easy. On top of that, this mod will only work on the Pixel XL (not the regular Pixel), and it's only intended for use on Android 7.1.

But with a little work, you can fix one of the biggest gripes most people have with the new Pixel, and increase audio quality dramatically.

Hello, I am a little confused. I am trying to find the mixer paths xml file (mod) that you mentioned. When I click on your link, it takes me to the xda thread, which if I'm reading right, is the long version of changing this through adb shell, etc. Where is the finished mixer paths file that you showed in your video where I just changed the name, copy and change the properties? Thanks
