Device setup

How well does the device setup via the included cable work? I fully expect some (most?) app data to not "cross over" but other than that, how smooth is the transition. Asking more for my wife as I'm more inclined to tweak things. She'd be thrilled if everything is "like it was" on her old phone (Moto X 2013).

We both use Nova and I've heard the backup/restore feature works great which is nice.

I have used the "included cable" to set up a couple Pixels. Followed instructions and been happy with the results.

I tried the cable option with a Note 5, but couldn't get the Note to switch from charging mode to MTP. Cable option did not work.

I don't know about the Note 5, but with a Pixel you swipe down from the top to select USB options.

Great thanks! I'm sure we've all had "easy setup" situations not be so easy so good to see it seems to work at least when transferring from 'stock android' devices.
