i bought a 32 silver at 15-feb. it had been with me for 1 month. i used some sony android phones previously. the ux between pixel and those sony phones are different. google is more prominent in pixel. e.g. when i got into a shopping mall, the phone would prompt me some notifications such as do i need interior maps of the mall. when i finished taking some photos, the phone would prompt me to contribute them onto google maps. i did this many times and i gained some progress. it is happy to discover that my photos are viewed by many people.
the other interesting thing is the timeline. it records my movements and shows them on the maps.
i used android phones for years but i didn't notice these functions. maybe i am too lazy to explore the ui and dig deep into all pages of all apps. thanks for the google in pixel being so proactive to show the hints. i like the google apps. the calendar is well integrated with the contacts and maps. it would be great if the photos app could organize the photos by geo-infos just like that in iphone. below are some misc screenshots showing my 1 month data usage and 1 day battery consumption experiment (the pixel acts as a wifi router during that period).
it is lucky that my pixel doesn't have the "30% --> 0% sudden power off" flaw which was reported by many users.
