Should i get a pixel/XL?

Been a long ti.e bb10 user. Since i left black worry I've tried numerous android devices only to return or sell them. I don't quite like android UI. Ive been using Windows 10 mobile for the last year or so. I love the UI and the Lumia 950 has been great so far.

Being a phone addict thinking of trying pixel again. Getting a decent deal here locally for a.XL foe about $450 Canadian (about US$350?. Should i get one?

Last time i tried pixel, it still had an issue with ok google. It doesn't work when the screen is off. Is there a way to get ok google to respond even when The screen ia off?

Yes ..but does it work when the screen is switched off? I thought it works only when the screen is lit up.

Yes. It works with the screen is off, just so long as you you set it up.
