GPS won't turn off since 8.0 update...

Since I have updated to 8.0 the GPS icon doesn't go away at the top of my screen. And battery life has been cut drastically. Has anyone else had this issue? What have you done to fix it? I have gone thru and turned off all GPS permissions (even for all system apps) and the only way I have found to get it to go away is to turn off GPS completely.

I have the same issue. And I don't use the Weather Channel app, but am using the weather channel Storm Radar app. I set my GPS to battery saving which calmed the GPS down, but it's not a fix.

It ended up being a rogue app. (wtforecast) deleted it, and problem is gone.....battery usage still seems a little worse but I will give a week or two for app updates and such to catch up

To diagnose, I went threw my apps and started hitting forceclose untill it went away

did you figure out the app?? you could also disable location sharing and reboot and enable it again

I took away Storm Radars permission to use the GPS. That seems to have solved it. Just for sh&t's and giggles, I also left the GPS set to battery saving until needed.
