Pixel Launcher crashing 8.0

So I just got this phone Friday and since then the launcher has crashed no less than eight times on me. So i went and cleared the cache and data. Clearing the data wiped my home screen and second screen. that's fine I'll set it back up. Except I no longer can swipe left to get to the second screen. I'm not talking about swipe right to get to the Google home screen. I have that. I'm talking about swipe left. that's gone. I'm relegated to one screen to put icons on. Is that a setting somewhere?

Open your App Drawer, then drag any icon to the rightmost part of the screen -- you should see a new homescreen light up on the right side, then move to fill the whole screen. Release the icon, and you've created the second homescreen.
