I am buying my daughter her first phone. Should I get a refurbished Pixel (1st Gen) or brand new cheap phone like a Moto G5/6?
As long as they actually did a proper referb, a Pixel for $200 absolutely slays anything even remotely close to that price. And since Google bumped the update window to 3 years, it's fully supported until the end of 2019.I am buying my daughter her first phone. Right, Pixel 2 got the full three... Pixel only gets P, then security and bug fixes until late 2019.LeoRex - Are you talking security patches or full software updates through end of 2019? My understanding is that only Pixel 2's have 3 years of OS updates. OG Pixel has only 2 years, meaning Android P later this year is it.
