Okay so I had a Moto G (2014) for a week and was facing issues so I called for a replacement. In the mean while I backed up my Google Account and stuff but now that my replacement phone is here, I can see the Google Play store attempting to re-download the apps that I had on my previous Moto G but the downloads aren't starting. All the apps are listed under the "Installed" heading of "My Apps" and are perpetually showing a progress bar, without the "Downloading" message or any indication of how much % of the download is complete. I'm trying to do this over Wi-Fi...

I'm tempted to press the "Stop" button on the top right corner of the screen but if I do so, I'll have to manually choose each app that I want to download from the list of all apps that I've ever had. The problem is that this list also includes some apps that I had on my Samsung smartphone 2 years back and I don't want any of those apps. Wish I could only start downloads of apps that I had on my Moto G (2014). Please help...

Just to add to the details, I followed the instructions from here: https://motorola-global-portal.custh...ail/a_id/78556

And there is a list of the apps that I had on my old phone here. The problem is that I cannot batch install the apps from the list and have to manually install each one, which I might as well do on the Play Store. Is there another alternative?

Is it possible to launch the "Manual Restore" setup that you get when you start a new device or after a factory reset without actually performing the factory reset?

Try going to through the list and locating that app that actually says "downloading" stop that one app and see if the others start.

Ok, I'll give that a shot. Just another doubt:

How does Google play maintain a list of the apps you have on the servers? Is the list updated each time you download a new app, or everyday? Because after receiving my new phone I had downloaded and installed ONE app. After that I performed a factory reset to see if this time I could get all my old apps (from the phone that got replaced) to download but after the factory reset only this ONE app got lined up for download and the other apps I used to have on the replaced phone were nowhere to be seen...

Ok so I tried it and it worked and one app updated itself but now none of the apps are saying "Downloading", but they're all just loading perpetually... What now?

If I reboot or close the play store all the apps that I've manually lined up for download will be lost lol...

I don't think they will be I have done it with my phone plenty of times. But I have a different phone so they could react differently.

In the end of might just be faster to write them all down and just manually do them

Could you answer this for me as well, please?

And I might just manually install the apps. I'll use an app like Helium next time...

It sounds like it modified your Google backup for your phone and now Google thinks you only have that one app installed versus all the other apps. You can also log into Google Play from your computer and push the app install from the web page. That might make it easier for you to find all the apps versus having to type them all in on your phone.
