My friend wants to be able to password protect the Play store - not just for paid apps, but for free ones as well. Her kids play on her phone and she doesn't want stuff being downloaded.
She's just come over from an iPhone where the app store is protected by default.

Any help offered would be gratefully received!

Welcome to Android Central. There are free apps in Play. One is called App Lock (https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...mobile.applock)

That allows a PIN and maybe a password (I can't remember if it allows passwords, but I know it can protect via PIN). It can also protect other things like settings (to avoid unwanted resets) etc...
