Going to the United Kingdom next month. Can anyone give me a heads up on how Fi works there?

Location: Swords, Ireland
Fair signal and data speeds are slow but good enough to run navigation.

As expected signal drops out in rural areas. Otherwise good 3g coverage.

OK back in the states now. International fees for me, 9.08 and my wife who did the navigation, 13.78
I can't imagine what our old carrier verizon would have cost us.

One note for people wanting to navigate in Europe in the future, I suspect I'd use Here Maps. I understand their navigation is as good or better than Google's in Europe and you can download all the maps you go (by country) before you leave the US. When using it overseas, the only real data usage will be if you get live traffic information.
