Will I be forced to pay $10 for 1GB per month or just as I need it?

I can't find details on pay for 1GB and the monthly plan.

Let me start out that I understand the basic plan is $20 per month and I do understand that Data cost $10 for every 1 GB used.

What I don't understand is or I should restate, my concern is that I will have to sign up for $20 plus $10 payment every month, at that rate I'll have massive left over from not having data, can I initially sign up for the basic plan, then pay $10 for 1GB and never pay for GB's again until I get notified that I'm getting close to going over the first 1GB/$10

or, if I am forced to pay $10 per month for 1GB Data and at end of the year I have paid $120 for 12GB's but only used 1 GB after 1 year?

If you data usage is less than your data plan, you get credited back for the unused data at approximately $0.01 per MB. So if you're on the $10 1 GB plan and use 500 MB, you would get a credit of approx. $5.00 applied to your next bill.

You don't understand my question I think? If I sign up for the minimum plan, which I think is $20 per month for unlimited Talk and Text, and then I'm required to at least agree to pay another $10 per month for 1GB of Data, now, suppose after twelve months and I have paid $120 for 12 GB of Data, but I've only used 1 GB of Data for the entire year, I'll have a credit of $110 ! What if I never used more than 1GB of Data per year, the credit just keeps adding up and I get cheated for paying for something that I'll never be able to use up!

Over 12 months if you used 1 GB of data for the year, you'd pay $240 for phone/text and $10.0 0(give or take a few cents) for data for $250.08 total. Since you prepay the $30 the first month, the $9.16 estimated unused data gets credited into the next month's bill, so your next bill would be $20.84 instead of $30.

My first month I used .29 GB and so the next month I started with a credit of $7.10 for the unused .71 GB.

So a hypothetical year with 1 GB usage over the year would have the following results:

The first month you pay $30, then $30 - the data credit in each subsequent month, which is equivalent to (1000 MB - used data in MB) * $0.01.

Make sense?

So, my first bill is $30. So with just Data in mind, I won't have to buy another 1GB until I get a notice from Google that I'm about to run out, which, depending on my usage, could be 6 months later?

Each month you'll pay $10 for data less the credit. So if the chart was your usage, the first month your bill would be $30.00, the next it'd be $20.84, etc. The forumla is $20 + $10 - $0.01 * (1000 MB - your prior month data usage).

Got it and I sincerely appreciate your help!

Yes, just to be clear, you don't build up a credit -- this isn't any type of rollover plan. Instead, any credit you get for data not used is immediately taken off your next bill. So you pay $30 the first month, the next month you pay whatever the amount is after your unused data credit is subtracted.
