Since Fi announced full-speed data abroad I've been giving it some thought. I leave the country for around 5 months at a time with about 1.5 months in between trips, so I thought using Fi might simplify things in terms of getting local sims, etc. However, I saw that the TOS allows for termination of your account for "excessive" international use. I contacted support, but they were unable to give me an answer beyond "cancellation is determined on a case-by-case basis and you can be terminated if your account becomes too costly for us" (or something along those lines).
Given Fi's non-answer, I'm wondering if anyone has any actual experience with long-term, international usage and could share their experience (time used, amount used, any cancellations, etc.) to help me get a sense of what Fi will and will not tolerate.
