How service credit works

I need a new phone and am going on a 3 week trip to Europe. I was thinking of getting a Moto G6 from Fi, activating it for a month and then pausing (or cancelling it). My question is will the $75 credit be applied to my account if I only use one month of service? I already paid for a year on Mint, so I don't need the Fi except to get a discount on the phone and for my vacation.

From their terms:

"Customers who return or cancel their order are not eligible to keep the service credit."

I'm not cancelling or returning the order. I would be cancelling the service.

If you have an unlocked phone, it would be far cheaper to buy a local SIM card when in Europe.
