I don't think it will be as much of an issue as regular AMOLED or LCD screens (lcd screens generally better, but my thunderbolt is aweful in the sun). The SAMOLED in the Epic I had before was better... and this theoretically should be even better than that (or at least the same) in which case, it will be fine. Would be nice for comparison photos outdoors. Good news is Phil usually adds this into all of his reviews.
Thanks Andrew. That's what I wanted to hear but I'm not gonna get too excited until I actually see it. Hopefully we'll have a lengthy review from Phil soon.
Aside from having higher resolution, the Galaxy Nexus uses the same display technology, curved glass and all, as the Nexus S. I've found the NS to be perfectly fine in pretty much every lighting condition aside from direct sunlight. But in its defense, I've never met a phone screen that was easy to read when you shined a bright light directly at it.
My phone is the most readable phone in direct sunlight I have come across. It will be difficult for me to part from the spectacular keyboard and the really good sun readability. But the that's the pentile tech.
