Hey all, just want to throw something out there and see if this happened to anyone else.
After going back and forth so many times, I finally decided to unlock and root my Gnex over the weekend and flash a JB ROM. I used a Win7 PC and Wug's Gnex Toolkit, installed the drivers, did all the backups, and followed everything to the T. So naturally I was anxious that my device was gonna be wiped after unlock. Funny thing is, it wasn't! I unlocked, rebooted, and found that it saved all my apps, homescreens and data. Then I rooted, and same thing! Nothing lost! Then, of course, to flash the ROM, I wiped all the data myself...but if I were to keep the stock ROM, it would have been at no loss!
Has anyone else experienced this? I was definitely surprised. I'm not saying everyone go and root carelessly and don't back up, but this was kinda cool.
