How can I send a contact via SMS on android 4.0.4? The option for the stock messaging app isn't available on the list under "share." Thank you for the help.

If you download Share SMS, you'll be able to have the messaging option under share.

Oops, meant this like for Share Contacts

You can just type "Share Contacts" into the play store.

Interesting. In Jellybean my only contact share options are Bluetooth, Dropbox or Gmail. Not SMS....

Yeah I'm not sure why it isn't a default option. Kind of weird to not have it as a selection.

I wonder if anyone has found a app that works both ways (sending and receiving a vCard).
Had a SonyEricsson before Nexus4 and I never figured it wasn't an implemented android function.

    1. Open Contacts
    2. Select the contact you want to send
    3. Open Menu
    4. Select "send contact" / "contactpersoon verzenden" or whatever language you use
    5. Select "send via sms" / "send via e-mail" / bluetooth etc
    6. select the contact who should receive it

This is not possible in KitKat (4.4.3). You can get it done by installing an app but man such a common and basic feature should be part of the core OS. Stop dropping the ball Google! You have such an amazing platform why would it lack sending an existing contact via text message?
