My GNex is running the latest version of NovaLauncher and sometimes it experiences some performance hiccups. Things such as the icons not loading right away when I hit the Home button or just some lag opening/while in apps (Hangout, Chrome, etc.). Just wondering if that's the GNex showing its age or something to do with Nova? I'm upgrading soon anyway, but just curious.

Mine does it on the main nova page which has a calendar widget, time/weather widget, google now widget, and a few app widgets. Not sure if the lag is coming from widgets trying to update but it feels like the whole screen has been unloaded from memory and must reload. It was a bit worse under 4.2.1 then 4.3 but definitely still there. All of the improvement can probably just be attributed to the fact that I did a clean install instead of an OTA.

Nova does seem slightly faster/smoother then Apex, but I will put up with slight lag to get the additional features of Apex or Nova over the stock launcher any day
