I have a Galaxy Prevail LTE through Boost, running version 4.4.4. A couple days ago, the brightness level dimmed considerably while I was browsing in Chrome. The brightness eventually went back to normal, but it has spent the last few days fluctuating wildly on a whim.
It doesn't seem to be related to battery percentage or lighting in the room, and my device doesn't even have an option for auto-brightness. No matter how bright or dim the screen is, the brightness slider always appears to be at the highest brightness level. The slider still "works," as I can still make the screen dimmer.
It's not overheating, because there are no warning messages in settings or under the brightness slider and it often happens when the phone is nowhere near hot.
I've restarted the phone, pulled the battery, checked for updates...WHAT am I missing? I hope someone knows a fix because I really don't wanna take my phone to Boost.
