I bought the same phone for an older person yesterday and having the same problem. There doesn't seem to be a timeout menu in display settings - although I'm trying to help over the phone so cannot be sure exactly what is being seen.

I tried under security too, you can turn lock off but doesn't affect timeout.

Maybe this phone doesn't have it which means it's going to be extremely frustrating to use and, hence, will be going back.

Hi There,

I've managed to fix this for my friend over the phone. The timeout is not under the usual display setting as you would expect to find it on most phones. If you go through the menu and find 'Backlight', you will find the option to change it there - the default is a crazy 10 seconds. Good Luck!
