I have been facing the strangest battery issue since I brought Nexus 4 around 2.5 yrs ago.
The issue started with my phone suddenly powering off a week ago. When I tried to power it on, it did not respond. I put it on charging and then powered it up. It did power up, but the battery level showed 1%. I am positive that there was at least 40%-50% of juice remaining when it suddenly turned off.
Now the most amazing thing happens! My Phone suddenly manages to juice up to ~65% in less than 30 mins. Talk about turbo charge :P. Also the phone discharges very soon,
The charging/discharging trend as been the same since then. It charges to ~90% from 15% in less than an hour. And discharges to around 10% with avg to below avg use by early evening.
I did do a hard reset but it made no difference.
Any pointers on how to go about it would be highly appreciated.

    Cheers,
    Arnav

I would suspect a failing battery, which can cause sudden drops in battery charge, as well as unusual charging behavior. You may want to consider replacing the battery, either yourself (check YouTube for DIY videos) or by bringing it to a repair shop.
