    so i like the idea of this new fitness month thread.

    recently my wife and i have decided to run a half marathon in September. While not much of a big deal for some people, i am currently 255ibs and 5'6". you can imagine my issues with running. So my goal is to lose 50+ pounds by august. I've changed my diet completely and i hit the gym 3+ times a week started 1/30/12.

    i hope this idea of adding contests to working out catches on. I wouldn't mind some incentive to lose weight and live healthier. I even started a blog to try and record this journey from fat computer geek to marathon runner.

    @mobilenations make sure you announce those contests, i do read androidcentral, crackberry, and webosnation multiple times a day so i hope i don't miss any chances to win free stuff.

    Way to go! You can do it!

    If you can, find a workout buddy - someone who will call you up if you miss a day to find out what's going on.

    I went from 255 to 183 in 8 months running when I started I couldn't run more than 2 minutes at a super slow pace. I have since ran 2 half marathons both at around 2 hours. You can do it! Keep it up! It gets easier and funner!
