I prefer my pics properly exposed with precise sharp focus.

Is that with the essential phone too? The hotdog pic is better. But if you want my honest opinion it's a bit dark and focus, while sharper, is still off.

But it's not your picture. It's mine.

I didn't have time to take a better pic and the sun was very bright on the screen, so I couldn't see the image all that well. It was just a quick snap. I don't postprocess.

It's what the phone produced. I can't change the hardware of the phone. It's probably more intelligent about taking photos than I am, so I let it decide.

I am not critiquing your photography skills in the least. I am merely making observations about the quality of pics coming out of your phone.
