Serious Honor 5X Heating

My Honor 5X goes up to 180°F after just normal use, not streaming or gaming. Anyone else having this issue?

Haven't seen high temperature problems at all so far.
My 5X hasn't gotten hot at all.

Haven't had that issue. I use Ingress as the stress test.

Reading email and surfing for an hour will being mine up to 95. I'll have to check again after heavier use but I doubt it's anything close to 180.

I was looking for a thread in the HiHonor community forums I had seen earlier about phone heat after intense gaming.
The thread starter said something such as there had been complaints concerning higher than normal temps.

I did contact Honor support and I was told it was normal.

Did honor put a special battery in the 5x? The standard li ion battery maximum operating temperature us 140°F.

Can you even hold the phone? When my htc 10 hit just 130 °f battery temp, it was already very uncomfortable to hold. Htc put in heavy throttle limits, it is like a hard cap, and just stays at 130, no matter what you do.

I have a thick case, and I think it's just a regular battery...
