I didn't have any issues with it on my Honor 8. Not sure why its different than 5X
Completely different setup. Different cpu and ram. I had both and the difference was pretty obvious.

Yah definitely. I think SD isn't as optimized like Kirin chips for huawei phones.

Possibly. But whatever the reason, it's to the manufacturer to optimize the software to whatever chip they choose

What scares me in all this is that Huawei isn't even issuing security updates and I'm worried that if it contains the Broadcom WiFi radio, that it's vulnerable to the Kracker exploit. I don't care if I get a new Android version as long as the security patches are available.

The lack of security updates is worrisome for others. They did promise to be better at monthly updates but I doubt it'll reach to their mid tier phones.

Oh that definitely sucks. I hope that they make an exception and at least push a security patch

Monthly security patches aren't expected here but they still should update it every few months

I'd even settle for that. The last security patch was January 1, 2017.

5x is pretty dead when it comes to any updates already.

That's totally unacceptable. I really hope that they do some updates... Even if it's just twice a year.
