6X not updating to Nougat...

Is everyone here who owns the 6X on Nougat?

The wife's new honor 6X isn't updating to Android 7/EMUI 5.
Maybe I should try to update via HiSuite instead of waiting for OTA.

The phone shows it's on EMUI 2.0 and Android 4.3
Weirdness...

There is a firmware updater software that can force an update. It is on Google play

I give up.
Tried "Firmware Finder" which allowed me to download a certified version of Nougat for a US phone.

After 3 failed tries I've had enough.
Not my phone anyway

Just from my experience using it on my m3, the certified ones didn't work. I had to install a non certified one and it updated. You also need to follow their directions carefully as it is a little tricky.

I was able to get an OTA after this too .

Maybe the OTA will show up eventually.

I'm just tired of fiddling around with it.
Phone works so I'm not investing any more time.

Marshmallow was a bit frustrating due to emui 4 which i didn't like, so i fiddled a bit too get it to nougat/ emui 5. After that, i didn't bother to update and a few weeks later, a small update automatically downloaded.

Hopefully you will see the OTA in a few weeks

Yeah it's great for those of us who are sometimes antsy for an update but it hasn't been officially pushed to our device yet. Sho work on all Huawei and honor phones and tablets

Iirc, it took a few weeks for mine to automatically update even though i could see it on the firmware finder app... Probably close to a month.

You can also contact Honor support and they might be able to add you to the OTA push list.

This is on my honor 8, but it was stuck on b320 until today when I tried to click the overflow icon and download the full package. It worked and updated me to 360

My wife who owns this phone could care less if it updates or not.
She'll most likely go back to her iPhone anyway so the 6X will be tossed in the bin.

Mine stopped a few times when downloading. I turned on and off Wi-Fi and it got going again.

Going too far off topic here...

My Lenovo Phab2 which actually had system update this morning is faster and it came in at $160.00
The 6X which still refuses to update has an okay camera where the Phab has a crap camera.

The honor 6X is a build quality upgrade over the honor 5X I would say.
The 6X isn't a 200 dollar phone in my opinion.

Well honor promised on their website quarterly updates on the 5x... Last i checked some users where still on marshmallow.

This is better than nothing but not sure i put much weight in it.
